Thurs 9/25 | Giorgio Cravero Parmigiano Reggiano Cracking at The Son of a Butcher

When: Thursday, September 25
Where: The Son of a Butcher | 5:30 PM CT

Son of a Butcher is excited to be hosting another Parmigiano Reggiano Cracking in partnership with Southbound Food Festival! They’ll be opening a wheel of Giorgio Cravero Parmigiano Reggiano!

Join them Thursday, September 25th at 5:30pm to view the art of cracking open a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano. This free event is open to the public and will include samples with plenty available for purchase.

The Cravero family has been selecting cheese for five generations, since 1855. This Parmigiano Reggiano is unique in that they buy their cheese from a small selection of producers in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine region, where the local pasture and forage lend to a creamy, soft paste with a sweet taste. Having carefully selected the cheese from the source at around 12 months old, they then take care of it in their maturing rooms in Bra, paying close attention to the changing seasons and conditions. This selection and maturation process is unique to Giorgio Cravero Parmigiano Reggiano, as well as other aspects of their care. To learn even more about this extraordinary cheese and its process, join us at our free cracking and tasting led by our Head Cheesemonger and staff who've actually visited the cellars in Bra!

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, PLEASE RSVP
