David Bancroft of Acre and Bow & Arrow joins forces with Jeffrey Compton, Executive Chef of Birmingham’s Armour House, for a special collaboration celebrating Southern culinary heritage with a modern, rustic twist. Combining Bancroft’s expertise in sustainable farm-to-table and smokehouse cooking with Compton’s refined, European-influenced approach to Southern classics, the duo crafts an innovative and inviting dining experience rooted in bold flavors and high-quality ingredients.

More about the guest: David Bancroft, winner of Food Network’s Iron Chef Showdown and four-time James Beard Best Chef South semifinalist, is the Chef and Owner of Acre Restaurant and Bow & Arrow Barbecue in Auburn, Alabama. Raised between Alabama and San Antonio, TX, Bancroft’s passion for food is deeply rooted in his family’s farming traditions and Southern culinary heritage. At Acre, he champions sustainable, farm-to-table dining with a seasonally inspired menu grown from on-site gardens and local community partnerships. His second concept, Bow & Arrow, blends South Texas smokehouse techniques with Alabama potluck hospitality, showcasing smoked meats and Southern sides cooked over a custom live-fire grill. When not in the kitchen, Bancroft enjoys hunting, fishing, and family time on his family farm in Lower Alabama.
