Thurs 9/25 | Golden Age Wine Garden x Chef Hunter Evans & Selection Massale Takeover

Who: Guest Chef Hunter Evans of Elvies, Jackson MS and Jonathon Gray of Selection Massale
When: Thursday, September 25
Where: Golden Age Wine Garden (downtown location)

Chef Hunter will be popping up for one night only serving yakitori bites hot off the grill. Bold flavors, open flames, and a relaxed courtyard vibe—all paired perfectly with a by-the-glass takeover from Selection Massale featuring Jonathon Gray.

The Golden Age Wine Garden is Golden Age Wine’s recently opened downtown outpost, featuring great music and lush garden seating.

More about the guests: Hunter Evans, a Mississippi native and Culinary Institute of America graduate, is the Chef and owner of Elvies in Jackson MS. Trained at top New York kitchens including Le Bernardin and North End Grill, Hunter crafts a fresh, modern take on Southern traditions through close collaboration with local farmers. His innovative work has earned Lou’s recognition among the New York Times’ “Top 50 Restaurants We Are Most Excited About,” and Hunter himself is a James Beard Foundation semifinalist (2023) and finalist (2024).

Selection Massale is dedicated to importing the finest natural wines available. Focusing on small wineries, they carefully select wines that are organically or biodynamically grown, naturally fermented, and crafted without cellar manipulation. Their portfolio emphasizes clean, precise, and highly drinkable natural wines that represent the best the category has to offer.
