Clear your lunch plans: Salud Taqueria welcomes Chef Luis Martinez of Asheville's Tequio Foods and Charleston’s Xolo, for a celebration of masa in all its glory, starting at 11 a.m. Born in Oaxaca, Martinez has become one of the South's most passionate voices for traditional Oaxacan cooking, championing heirloom corn, nixtamalization, and the indigenous foodways behind every great tortilla. Together with the Salud team, he'll build a special lunch menu that honors both kitchens' roots — tacos, memelas, salsas, and moles that trace a line from Oaxaca to Birmingham.
