Southbound is thrilled to welcome Jimmy Proffitt, author of Seasoned in Appalachia: Delicious Recipes from the Mountains & Hollers, to Farmstand at Pepper Place on Thursday, September 25th, from 4 to 5 PM.

Known for his storytelling as The Appalachian Tale, Jimmy brings the flavors and traditions of the Shenandoah Valley to life through recipes rooted in family, community, and Southern Appalachian culture.

He’ll be joined by Nancy Hopkins, Executive Director of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), who will guide the conversation and take questions from the audience. An IACP member himself, Jimmy will share the stories behind his much-anticipated debut before signing copies of his cookbook, officially releasing October 28th.
