More about the guest: Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, Sam Diminich grew up in his family’s Italian restaurant before honing his craft at the Culinary Institute of America and training under acclaimed chefs including Georges Perrier at Philadelphia’s Le Bec Fin. His career spans roles at BLT Steak in the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte, The Hampton’s in Sumter, SC, and as Executive Chef of Upstream in Charlotte. In 2020, he famously beat Bobby Flay with his lobster risotto, a win that fueled the growth of his Your Farms Your Table concept and the opening of Restaurant Constance. A 2025 James Beard Foundation Semi-Finalist, Diminich is celebrated for his ingredient-driven, locally sourced cuisine that blends traditional and contemporary flavors, creating meals that celebrate connection, community, and craft.
