The patio at Homewood’s Luca Lagotto Italian Restaurant takes on the sultry vibe that draws visitors from far and wide to New Orleans’ popular party yard, Bacchanal Wine. Chefs Rita Bernhardt and Paul Yeck welcome Joaquin Rodas, Chef and Founder of Bacchanal Fine Wine and Spirits. Self-described as “Nola’s Backyard Party” the experience is Mediterranean living, New Orleans style. Rita and Joaquin met and worked together in New Orleans before she moved to Birmingham and they have remained close—bouncing ideas off each other and looking forward to collaborating. Rita’s love of Italian specialties, Chef Paul Yeck’s experience with Spanish, French and other classic European styles, and Joaquin’s multi-cultural culinary styles—paired with great wine and cocktails ensures a delicious party.
