Two Peruvian-born chefs, now shaping Southern kitchens, come together for a night of bold flavors and live-fire cooking. Chef Arnaldo Castillo and Chef Ramon Gonzales unite their roots and their craft for a collaboration that celebrates Peruvian heritage, seasonal Southern ingredients, and the smoky traditions of the hearth.

More about the guest: Chef Arnaldo Castillo, owner and executive chef of Tio Lucho’s in Atlanta, was born in Peru, raised in the South, and brings both worlds to the plate. A James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: Southeast, Castillo first introduced Atlanta to his Peruvian-meets-Southern cooking through his acclaimed pop-up, La Chingana, before opening Tio Lucho’s in 2022.

Inspired by his father, Luis, a cook and caterer, Castillo worked his way through every role in the restaurant industry—from dishwasher to chef de cuisine at Atlanta favorites like Minero, Pura Vida, Empire State South, and Little Trouble. At Tio Lucho’s, he showcases Peruvian flavors with Southern ingredients, crafting a vibrant dining experience rooted in family, culture, and community.
